Welcome to the website for the International Marine Enforcement Commission. The purpose of IMEC is to enforce marine conservation under the provisions of the WEECs Convention with a special interest in shark related poaching and crimes. IMEC is to be granted full portage and law enforcement rights within the legal agreement of the WEECs Act in accordance with the United Nations and European Union rulings in support of the convention.

We welcome all shark defense organizations and individuals as well as everyone interested in the oceans overall and the various aspects of restoring the marine ecosystems to health. For a long time we have allowed governments and corporations to greedily rape andpillage the oceans. Treating the seas as a trash dump or an unlimited resource.

Poor marine management and conservation considerations have allowed the largely unchecked destruction of our oceans. Some countries have been especially rampant in this over harvesting and exploitation. Countries that treat the oceans as if they have to right to take as much as they wish or to dump as much toxin and pollution as they desire, without any regard to the entire ocean or the long reaching impact of their actions.

Toxins now pollute our atmosphere as well as the marine food chain. Methyl-mercury, Lead, Cadmium, PCBs, POPs ( Persistant Organic Pollution ), Methane, Carbon Dioxide, Concentrated Flourocarbon, etc. Our children are threatened as well as humanity as a species. So too is the ocean ecosystem and all of its related environments. The planetary biosphere is in trouble. IMEC is established to counteract the problem. We welcome your support and participation! Thank you.
